Team Member Bio
Maria Salinas is the Project Coordinator for Health in Our Hands (HiOH). She received her Masters in Health Education in 2012 from the University of Michigan - Flint. Maria has 9 years of experience working with Flint and Genesee County parents, teachers, administrators, students and community partners. In previous roles, Maria provided support to the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Grant to promote health careers to Flint Area School Students. Another project Maria supported was the Neff Center for PLACE-Based Education. This project supported the placement of student teachers into the Beecher Community School District and provided college readiness activities for students 7th - 12th grade.
